Waxahatchee slough

Shallow slough with great topwater, crankbait, and jig fishing. Use sqaurebills around fallen trees and jigs at piers and boathouses. Texas rigged lizards and craw style Baits work great in shallow grass where bass suspend during summer heat. Rattletraps work good on grass edges and in open water. Use deep diving crankbaits on edge of slough and points near the slough. Spinnerbaits affective on shade banks and cloudy days. Early mornings throw frogs in grass and poppers near shallow structure.
